9.22.04 - Eagle Creek Aviation Opens Learjet Service Center

Indianapolis, IN—Eagle Creek Aviation Services, Inc. announced the opening of its Learjet Service Center at Eagle Creek Airport in Indianapolis. The facility, located just 10 minutes northwest of the city center, anchors this regional airport which is the closest to downtown Indianapolis and the growing business / technology corridor on the city’s northwest side. The facility has hired 20 veteran Learjet technicians formerly employed at Bombardier’s Indianapolis Service Center, which closed recently. With the addition of these renowned technicians, Eagle Creek Aviation now employs nearly 100 aviation professionals.

ECAS is the world’s largest Twin Commander service and sales center, and has been recognized as a leader in the development of major upgrades and improvements of this popular aircraft. The company has developed an efficient, one-stop approach to maintenance, avionics, interior refurbishment and repairs.

Eagle Creek Aviation, which also specializes in the maintenance and refurbishment of Cessna Citation jets, now adds the Learjet family of high performance aircraft to its repertoire. With the recent closure of the Bombardier facility, Eagle Creek offers Learjet owners the largest, most experienced staff of Learjet service specialists in the nation. The company’s FAA Diamond Award-winning repair station covers models from the 23-25 series, through the popular 31, 31A, 35 and 35A up to the Lear 55 and 60 models.

“This is an opportunity to merge Eagle Creek’s reputation for excellence and reliability with one of the most experienced groups of Learjet technicians in the nation,” said Eagle Creek President Matt Hagans. “We’ve recruited the best of the best from the previous facility, and we’re equipping them with the tools and infrastructure necessary to provide the highest quality Learjet service in North America. Together, they represent nearly 300 years of Learjet experience. Not only that, we expect to add additional Learjet professionals by year’s end.”

Eagle Creek’s facility now covers virtually every type of Learjet service, including: scheduled maintenance, repairs, structural modifications, TFE-731 turbofan service, as well as award-winning interior refurbishment. The Eagle Creek Learjet team includes a dozen specialists capable of meeting customers’ avionics needs including FAA-mandated RVSM and TAWS upgrades.

“We understand the cost of downtime on corporate aircraft, and we’ve always been known for our reliability,” said Rick Branch, Eagle Creek’s vice president. “We’ll apply the same level of service to our Learjet customers.” This commitment to becoming the leading Learjet service center is evident not only in the hiring of veteran Learjet technicians, but also in Eagle Creek’s significant investment in equipment and facilities expansion.
